Seeking the Kingdom

Matthew 6:30-33 reminds us that since God gives such attention to the appearance of birds and flowers we should rest knowing he’ll attend to us. Consequently it is futile to be  preoccupied with getting because all of our everyday human concerns will be met. That passage sums up the Lakewood Player’s Testimony.

Every month we minister to the children at Lakewood Church through Kidslife. Though rewarding the team prayed for opportunities to minister to adults inside and outside of the walls of the church. So in addition to weekly workshops, leadership and individuals started preparing sketches and presentations suitable for adult audiences.

In the past 2 years the Lakewood Players have had opportunities to minister in inner city neighborhoods through "Lakewood Live" events, to senior citizens in facilitated care, and in the streets. In turn ministries within the church sought after this unique way of presenting the Gospel.

We have had a chance to minister to almost every demographic. Every other week we partner with the Freedom Series in their monday night "Love Your Marriage Class" where real issues are tackled to help couples have a better marriage whether they are struggling, rejoicing, or embarking. Connect with us at our facebook page to find ministry dates and other information!

We are ready to experience the shift because the best is yet to come!
